Gooooood morning and welcome to Fantabulous Friday. Each Friday I will discuss something that I experienced that was simply fabulous during the week. Be prepared to hear about anything from training, work, business, spirituality, or chocolate just to name a few... Def chocolate... :)  And this is a great week to start because for the Inaugural Fantabulous Friday I will be discussing Celebration Blitz Tampa!!! Yea!! :)

Last night we had our Celebration Blitz here in Tampa for Isagenix. For those of you not familiar with the Celebration Blitz it is a time for distributors, company leaders and guest to come together and learn more about Isagenix , share some great testimonials and focus on the future of the business. We had the pleasure of having Erik Coover,  Director of Field Development at our event last night.  This guy is super energized and had us all really pumped up!! Erik is the son of the founders of the company , Jim and Kathy Coover, so as he says himself he just ooozes Isagenix all over the place. :) Here is a pic of Erik and I after the event.

This was an awesome event from beginning to end. To start off when Amy and I arrived they handed us one of these at the registration table...
Isa Delight Plus
Isa Delight Plus.. 50 calories of milk chocolate bliss... :)

Yes the Isa Delight Plus, which is, as I like to describe it, just a little slice of heaven.... In addition we were also given an E+ Energy Shot, which I happen to love but Amy isn't too crazy about. She's a coffee drinker... :)
Amy enjoying the Celebration Blitz.

The event went on as planned and I got a chance to meet some amazing people and heard some really powerful testimonials of how Isagenix has changed so many peoples lives both physically and financially!! I'm really proud to be a part of such an awesome organization.

Packed house. Ready to begin.

So in closing this Fantabulous Friday post I would just like to say that I have had a most awesome week. Training has been great. Super track workout on Wednesday. 6 x 1/2 mile repeats at 3:30ish pace. These felt relatively easy and I'm still getting back into shape so that is very encouraging. Today I ran an easy 5 mile recovery and washed them down with an IsaLean Pro Chocolate Shake. So yes it has been a fantastic week and I'm looking forward to a great long run tomorrow and another solid week of training next week. Anyone else had a fantabulous week??

Have a great  weekend peeps.

Two days on Tuesday - Week 2 of Pre Marathon Training

Week 2 of pre training for the Jacksonville Marathon on December 29th 2013. Happy to report the knee is feeling good so I here by declare myself whole and well. I will not be speaking of said knee anymore...  :)

Now for the good stuff!! I'm in week two of my pre training before marathon training. Last week I logged 28 miles. 16 running and 12 on the bike. This week I plan to bring that up to 20 running and another 12 on the bike. This week has started out great so far.

Monday: Brick workout. For those of you unfamiliar with what a brick is that is when you do 2 disciplines of a triathlon back to back. I decided to bike and then run. I rode 12.5 miles  at 16mph. Great ride and perfect for warming up my legs. After the bike I hopped off and ran 3 miles at an 8:48 pace. Again not terribly fast for me but it did feel good to pick up the pace on the run and go under a 9 min pace. Recovery drink was an IsaLean Pro chocolate shake.

Tuesday: 4 mile Recovery run with 2 x 100 meter strides in miles 3 & 4. Recovery drink was a Vanilla IsaLean Shake. Great run this morning and the weather was beautiful. Dare I say it was almost cool out??? :) I truly enjoy recovery runs and I'm getting better and better at understanding the importance of recovery runs in any training plan.I must allow my body to recover properly so I can get the best out of my hard workout days.

So the journey continues. Have an awesome day peeps!!

Good morning team Train Healthy Be Wealthy!! Wanted to share with you a video I shot after my morning run.... For the record I ran a glorious 6 miles this morning with no knee pain. The body is feeling good and  my preparation for marathon training is going smoothly. The weather this morning was wonderful here in Tampa. It must have been about 70 degrees outside with almost no wind. I saw the sun rising over the Hillsborough River as I crossed the bridge and just looked over and gazed for a second and thought about what a magnificent Universe we live in... :)

So what I wanted to share with you today is about living in the NOW. The present moment. The present moment is the only moment that there is. If you want to start something, anything the time to start is NOW.

Once you start moving forward taking baby steps in that direction just watch as the Universe starts working in your favor to make things happen for you. As Nike says just do it!! :)  Tomorrow never comes.. it's always now. I hope you enjoy the video and it inspires you to reach for your goals starting today... :)

Two days on Tuesday...

Happy Tuesday friends!! So I checked my calendar and my 16 week marathon training won't officially start until 9/7/13. Jacksonville marathon is on 12/29/13. I'm very happy about that because I need more time to get this body prepared for another marathon training cycle.

Speaking of my body and getting it prepared I've just starting running again after a 3 week hiatus do to a nagging knee injury. I'm happy to report that the knee is feeling better and I'm excited about running again.  Yea!! :)  So here's how my first 2 days of what I'm calling pre training went...

Monday 8/19/13:  First run back after 3 weeks off. Ran an easy 3 mile recovery run. Stayed at about a 10 min pace just to ease myself back in slowly. The run was nice although I did still feel some pain in the knee by mile 3 it was virtually gone. I got in a good stretch and ice afterwards and recovered with a Isalean Pro chocolate shake. What concerned me most about this run was that my average heart rate was up in Zone 3  (154bpm) even though I was running a very easy pace for me. I know how it is though after not running for a while so I'm expecting that to come back down as I begin to run more.

Tuesday 8/20/13:  12 mile ride thru my neighborhood at 16 mph.  A few too many stops and starts this morning on this ride although it was to be expected because today is the first day of school and we had madd traffic. I enjoyed the ride though and my heart rate was an average 143bpm ( zone 2). About where it should be for an easy ride. Today's recovery drink was a chocolate Isalean shake.

I'm thinking of using a heart rate training plan for the Jacksonville marathon where all of the training is based on what HR zone you should be in and not specific times or distances. Have any of you ever used this type of plan?? If so, do you think this is a good idea for a marathon training plan??

So I'm off to a great start in pre training and looking forward to rocking it the rest of the week!! This is TY signing off for now. As always allow the Universe to work in your favor and be blessed... :)

Getting back into the swing of things

Got in a sweet 20 mile ride with Dena today!! For those of you who don't know, Dena is my bike... :)
Here is a pic of Dena
This is an old pic when I first got her. I've changed the pedals since then... :) Oh and yes I do name everything... lol  So, although I really enjoy riding I must admit that the only reason I'm riding so much this week ( I've rode 4 times) is because I've been nursing a knee injury. My first true love is running and I can't wait to get back to it next week, starting Monday.

I must admit that I am a little nervous about Monday because I haven't run in over 2 weeks but I truly feel I'm doing the best thing for my training. One of the biggest mistakes any athlete can make is attempting to come back from an injury to soon and risk prolonging the injury. In my 13 years of running and over 25 years of playing sports at various levels I can honestly say I've only had one serious injury and that was a severe ankle sprain back in my basketball playing days at Mercer University. I remember being on crutches for 2 weeks before being able to get back on the court. It sucked but I did everything my trainers told me to do so I could get back to playing as quickly as possible. I've transferred that same attitude to my running life now. I have to do whatever it takes to be healthy and ready for my upcoming marathon training cycle. As one of my runner friends once told me " It's better to show up under trained and healthy then over trained and injured."

Just like most runners I've had my nagging injuries over the years and I've learned that I must recover fully before attempting to compete again. Just in case you're wondering don't attempt to run a marathon when you know you have a bum calf... Been there done that!! Got the tech shirt to prove it... lol

So although I'm nervous I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and pounding the pavement with my fellow runners. I may even run down on Bayshore with my running group The Blue Sharks. Any of you ever had anxiety about coming back from a running injury?? How did you deal with it?

Until next time peeps... this is TY signing off. As always allow the Universe to work in your favor and be blessed...

Shipment is here... Yea!! :) Chocoholics Unite!!

Well folks today is the day that my shipment from Isagenix arrived. I was so excited that I took the day off from work so I could be here when it arrived. I know I'm weird like that... :)  Good thing I did because the UPS guy just knocked on my door and dropped the package off and left.  I'm glad I  was home or my   priceless package would have been sitting outside my door all day long...

Anyways, so I ordered the PerformancePresident's Pak which comes with tons of products and materials to help me get up and running in my business right away. I've been feverishly reading and watching videos to learn more about the products and business opportunity all afternoon. I must say that Isagenix has really got it together when it comes to supplying you with everything you need to jump start your business. Go Isagenix!!

And then I decided it was time to have a little snack... and that is where this blog comes in. :)

I decided to try the Chocolate Decadence Isalean Bar.

So anyone who knows me knows that I am a chocoholic so this had to be one of the first things I would taste from my PerformancePresident's Pak. Let me tell you it did not disappoint!! OMG!! This bar taste great and I loved it!!! I don't think their gonna last too long around here. Looks like I'm gonna be replacing a many of meals with these bad boys... lol

Oh and they are very healthy as well. Isagenix  IsaLean Bars are the perfect, on-the-go meal. These convenient, all-natural meal replacements contain only about 260 calories and 18 grams of high quality, undenatured whey protein, healthy fats and energy-boosting carbohydrates that curb your appetite and help you feel fuller, longer. Their nutritional profile slows the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream making it a low glycemic, balanced meal.

The Isagenix IsaLean bars come in 5 different flavors... Chocolate Cream Crisp, Chocolate Peanut Crunch, Lemon Passion Crunch, Chocolate Decadence and Yogurt Dipped Natural Oatmeal Raisin. I plan on trying them all even though my heart is always going to be with the Chocolate Decadence.  :)

So if you're looking for a healthy and great tasting meal replacement, or snack I highly recommend looking no further than the Isagenix Isalean Bars.
